How to post an estate notice

A step-by-step guide for estate admins: write a notice, choose who sees it, publish it to the resident portal and send it on WhatsApp.

Notices are how you tell residents about things that matter: maintenance, meetings, rule changes, gate-hour updates, or anything the estate needs to know. A notice posted on the portal stays visible and can be sent on WhatsApp at the same time.

Steps

  1. Open Notices

Choose Notices in the admin sidebar. You'll see every notice the estate has posted, newest first.

  2. Create a new notice

    Click New Notice.

  3. Write your message

Give the notice a clear title, like "Water shutdown Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.", and add the details in the body. Keep it short: one notice, one topic.

  4. Choose who sees it

Send it to all households, or pick the household groups it's for, such as one block, if the notice only affects part of the estate.

  5. Publish

Click Publish. The notice appears on every selected resident's portal immediately.

  6. Send on WhatsApp (optional)

Click the WhatsApp button to send the notice to residents where they'll see it straight away. The portal copy stays as the official record.

Notices sit at the top of the resident's home page, where they can't be missed.

Tips

  • Put the most important information first: the what, when and where.
  • Include a contact name and number so residents know who to ask.
  • Don't post more than one or two notices a week unless it's urgent. Too many messages train residents to ignore them.
  • For time-sensitive notices like power outages, send on WhatsApp as well as posting to the portal.
The portal is the record. WhatsApp delivers the message now. The portal keeps it for the residents who check later, and for the committee's records.
